GPA-djp (ÖGB), Austria's Union of Private Sector Employees, Graphical Workers and Journalists represents mainly white-collar-employees in all private industrial sectors. / GPA-djp covers many different economic sectors in the service industry such as commerce, financial and economic services, social insurance, health and welfare services as well as in manufacturing industries including workers in the graphical industry and the media sector, but also in journalism, research, education, culture, charitable societies, gambling, communication, tourism and leisure industries. / In cooperation with the corresponding blue-collar-workers union in the respective industry GPA-djp give advice and delivers support for works councils at company level an negotiate collective agreements with the employers organisations. / GPA-djp keeps international relations across Europe and worldwide - through our affiliation to UNI Global Unions and specific sectoral trade union federations like UNI Europa, IndustriAll, EPSU, IJF/EJF (Journalists Federation) and EFFAT.
As GPA-djp's Head of the Departement for Europe, Multinational Companies and International Relations my responsibilities range from coordination of European Policy networking of my organisation to the practical support and the offer of advisory services for employee representatives in multinational companies in all industrial sectors. / Being practically active in this field now for almost two decades I collected some special expertice in labour law and social policy issues and particularely in the field of workers representation (information, consultation ans participation) as well as in the field of employment and labour market policy.
